Infrared saunas warm the tissues of the body to depth of over one inch without overtly heating the surrounding air, enabling tissue repair, detoxification and a variety of healing responses in a comfortable relaxing environment.

This safe and effective treatment maximizes the body’s sweat response, producing up to three times the elimination of waste products than a conventional sauna and according to the American Medical Association burns up to 600 calories during a single half hour session!

Therapeutic benefits of Infrared Sauna sessions include:
Reduces stress and fatigue Burns calories, reduce weight and eliminate cellulite Improves skin tone, elasticity and texture Reduces scarring from acne, eczema, psoriasis, burns, lesions, and cuts Removes toxins, heavy metals, nicotine and other harmful substances Boosts your immune system Relieves pain and joint stiffness

Detox – The Natural Way
Homeostasis means that our body functions are in balance. When we feed ourselves more than we can utilize or partake of specific substances that our bodies consider toxic, this balance is disturbed and our bodies go into a state known as Toxicity.

Our standard North American lifestyle consists of many stimulants, as well as exposure to heavy metals and toxic chemicals. Some of these are refined white sugar, cigarettes, red meats, drugs, and pollution. In order to return the body to homeostasis, a program of detoxification can be a healthy and safe method to accomplish this.

The best way to eliminate toxins is through an integrated health program of far infra-red sauna use and targeted nutrition.

Far Infra-red Sauna Benefits
The dry, warming energy of the far infra-red sauna is highly compatible with the human body. It heats the tissues several inches deep, which enhances metabolic processes. Greater cellular energy production facilitates healing. Viruses, tumors and toxin-laden cells are weaker than normal cells; they tolerate heat poorly. Raising the body temperature causes infections to heal more quickly, as seen in hyperthermia or fever therapy, which can help combat infections and even cancer.

Saunas enhance circulation and oxygenate the tissues. They open the nasal passages and assist the sinuses to drain. Although the skin is a major eliminative organ, most people’s skin is very inactive. Many of us do not sweat enough. Sedentary living and sun damage can also inactivate the skin.

Repeated use of the sauna can slowly restore skin elimination. Toxic chemicals and metals can be removed faster this way, than with any other method. As a daily habit, using the far infra-red sauna has many benefits, whereas steam baths, sweat lodges, vigorous exercise and hot tubs are more extreme and less effective.

Is Your Skin Truly Dry or Just Thirsty

One of the most common misconceptions people have about skincare is that all dry skin should be treated equal. More often than not what feels like dry skin is in fact dehydrated skin.

Although truly dry skin and dehydrated skin may feel the same they have different causes and different treatments. This distinction becomes very important when it comes to purchasing skin care products. True dry skin is lacking in oil, whereas dehydrated skin is lacking in water. It is possible to have an oily or combination skin type that is in a dehydrated condition, however you cannot have both skin types – oily and dry. Your oil glands are either producing enough, too much, or not enough oil.

Dehydrated skin will look and feel dry with fine surface wrinkles, but can also exhibit an oily character with large pores and breakouts. True dry skin has small pores, deeper wrinkles, very little oil on the surface and rarely breaks out.

The fundamental need of true dry skin is oil. Oils are vital for the wellbeing of the skin, keeping it protected, pliable and soft. Quite simply true dry skin needs to be treated with regular applications of an oil-rich moisturizer. This treatment can be supported with the use of a gentle and nourishing cleanser, as well as a diet rich in healthy oils and fats.

The condition of dehydration results from an excessive buildup of dull dead skin cells on the surface which renders your skin unable to retain moisture effectively. Dehydrated skin develops when we are exposed to dry environments, both indoors and outdoors, when using certain medications or harsh soaps and simply not drinking enough water or consuming too much coffee, alcohol and tobacco.

The fundamental skincare need of dehydrated skin is regular exfoliation. It does not matter how good your skin cream is or how often you apply it, the situation will remain unresolved or worsen. This treatment is supported with drinking water more regularly, using gentle cleansers and choosing moisturizers with more water than oil. Matte moisturizers and gel serums rich in marine and hyalauronic extracts will aid the skin in retaining water, and reduce cellular buildup.

For a more in depth understanding of your specific skin type and skin condition it is vital to consult a qualified esthetician or skin specialist.
